This Southern Valley's Fumé Blanc is pale straw in colour with light yellow highlights. It displays sweet white fleshed nectarine and stonefruit aromas, with subtle toasty oak and mealy characters. The wine is mouth filling, with lovely peaches and cream flavours, and ripe tropical pineapple highlights, with harmoniously integrated charry oak tannins.
A wonderful match with seafood dishes such as barbecued prawns or smoked salmon. To complement the toasty, smokey characters in the wine, Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine will also match well.
This wine is made to drink upon release while young and vivacious, although further complexity will develop over 2-3 years bottle ageing.
