Bold aromas of gooseberry, nettle and fresh herbs laced with citrus flowers and a hint of honey make for a complex herbal bouquet. The satisfyingly weighty palate has notes of pear underpinned with grapefruit flesh and lime, and a striking minerality that lingers on the palate. Layers of flavour unfold continuously in the glass, thanks to the superb concentration of fruit.
A powerful wine which is ready to be drunk upon release; or cellar for up to two years to develop complexity.
The superb minerality in this wine would pair beautifully with fresh seafood dishes or with Asian cuisine accented with fresh coriander, chilli and lime. Would also pair beautifully with fresh summer salads with light vinaigrette dressing.
