The Showcase Series Sauvignon Gris 2018 draws you in with enticing aromas of peaches, pear and gooseberry and some toasty oak undertones. The palate is broad, creamy and textural, with gooseberry pie, apple strudel and spicy oak flavours supported by crisp acidity and a long, fine finish.
This wine is a natural match for seafood, especially sweeter fleshed types such as scallops and prawns, or salmon. Roast chicken cooked with lemon and garlic would also work well as would a cheese platter with some fruit chutney.
